About Nabaname

Naming is the one decision a founder makes early, alone, and then lives with for a decade. This is the workspace for making it well.

What it does

You describe what you are building in a sentence. Nabaname generates candidate names against that brief, checks each one for domain availability before you get attached to it, and keeps the evidence — what the name means, where it came from, what it is near — on a board you can come back to.

The point is the last part. Most naming sessions end with a list and no way to choose from it. A board ends with the reasons attached to the names, which is what lets you pick one and stop looking.

It works where you already work

Nabaname speaks MCP, so an assistant like Claude can do the naming work on your behalf and land the results on the same board you use in the browser. The install command is on the homepage.

The reference

Some of what we learned building this is published openly in the reference — how availability checks actually work, which naming rules hold up under scrutiny, and the techniques behind names that last. No account required.

Who makes it
